Interest Rates... Mortgate rates remain stable.
30 year fixed rate unchanged this week; 4.25 % for qualified borrowers paying 1 percent origination fee.
15 year fixed mortgage rates also unchanged, 3.75%.
Both rates were verfied by freerateupdate.com research of wholesale lenders'rate sheets and are at all time lows. Source: Realty Times
 
 Note to Buyers: Ask your lender to provide a Good Faith Estimate when quoting loan rates. When shopping lenders which is always a good idea in my opnion, be sure to ask the lender to provide long quotes with interest rate and no points so you can easily compare one lender to another.  You will be able to compare what each lender is charging for each mortgage loan because all lenders are required to use the same form. You will be able to verify at closing that the lender charged what was quoted in the Good Faith Estimate by comparing the HUD (settlement statement) to the Good Faith Estimate.
