
DRIPPING SPRINGS located 21 miles west of Austin is known for its many ranches, abundant wildlife and past home of Willie Nelson. Johnny Cash wrote and recorded a song called "Dripping Springs."
Dripping Springs is the gateway to the Texas Hill Country with its beautiful rolling hills, majestic views, rock bottom creeks, great swimming holes and abundant wildlife. One of the most beautiful sights in the area is the 232 acre preserve; Hamilton Pool located 30 miles west of Austin on FM 3238. Hamilton Pool Preserve has a 45 footwaterfall, hiking trails and picnic areas. Visitors must park near the road and hike the trails to reach the pool and waterfalls. A must see when traveling through the Austin area.
