PFLUGERVILLE is a small community with German heritage located 15 miles northeast of Austin. It is located near 3 major employers Dell, IBM, and Samsung. In November 2006 the first part of a central toll way system open in the backyard of this community including state highway 130 and Highway 45 creating unobstructed roadways in and out Pflugerville. This community has an abundance of recreational parks and hike and bike trails including Lake Pflugerville which is a 180 acre water reservoir and city park. The NBC television drama Friday Night Lights is filmed in Pflugerville and Austin. They use Pflugerville High School stadium to film football games.
